Thomana, das ist barocker Jazz oder auch jazziger Barock, vorgetragen von Musikern, deren Wurzeln in beiden Stilrichtungen liegen. Ausgefeilte Arrangements verbinden Bach's c-moll Präludium aus dem wohltemperierten Klavier mit Blue Bossa, die zugehörige Fuge mit einer vierten, vom Akkorionisten Kurt Gold improvisierten Stimme. Weiters sind wunderschöne Jazzballaden, vorgetragen von der persischen Sängerin Nooshin Khoshnazar-Thoma, sowie Eigenkompositionen des Pianisten Johannes Khoshnazar-Thoma, zu hören. Karl Sayer, der auf eine gut 40 Jahre lange Karriere als Jazzbassist zurückblicken kann, gibt dem Ensemble das notwendige Fundament, sowohl in Form von jazzigen Walking Bass als auch in Form eines barocken Generalbass.

I also have a duo with my wife Nooshin Khoshnazar-Thoma. Since our wedding we share the same name, which consequently is also the name of the duo. We perform Jazz standards, mostly beautiful ballads as well as persian songs.
